Despite what you might think, anaerobic digestion byproducts do not always require a full overhaul of a septic system. Sometimes, septic shock, or the introduction of temporary “bugs” or chemical agents, can help the situation. Sadly, these quick-fix remedies don’t address the underlying biological problems that kicked off the whole mess. The process required to actually fix the problem involves oxygen and changing the anaerobic digestion process to an aerobic one, which breaks down sludge and improves the flow of material. Underground Septic’s patented aerobic remediation process can do just that and inside of 30 days, you’ll see massive improvement and the erased need for repair or replacement of your septic system. Underground Septic’s additional offerings for remdiation include (but are not limited to):
- Drain Field Design, Installation and Repair
- Anaerobic Bacteria Shock Treatments
- TerraLift Trench-less Drain Field Aeration
What Are Aerobic Bacteria?
Aerobic bacteria are bacteria that thrive when oxygen is present. The jury is still out on the effectiveness of aftermarket aeration systems. As a relatively new septic option, it is not at all uncommon for municipalities to require aeration. The downside is that if a septic system was not already designed with the idea of future aeration, it may not be able to function without the addition of new aeration components. Sometimes these aeration septic systems require more maintenance than their traditional gravity-fed counterparts.
